Mayan Ruins
Choose your destination to visit some of the worlds most spectacular excavated Mayan Ruins. Xunantunich ruins of San Ignacio will delight you as expert guides tell you of the history of a people who once numbered in the millions in this area and their rich Mayan culture. Other Mayan ruins excursions available as well.
Monkey River Day Trip
Travel to Monkey River to see howler monkeys, crocodiles and Manatees. Your guide will pick you up in a boat after a 20 minute drive to the landing. You can order lunch at the local restaurant before you go, then cruise up the river to see the resident troop of Howler Monkeys as your guides point out the variety of flora and fauna native to this unique area of Belize.
Cave Tubing
Take a day to explore the caves of the Cayo area with a combination of tubing and hiking. Don your headlamp as your guides take into the caves that were sacred to the Mayan people. See artifacts and cave paintings still intact and visit sites that once were locations of Mayan sacrifices and ceremonies.
Actun Tunichil Muknal
One of the most spectacular cave adventures of a lifetime. Actun Tunichil Muknal was the place of human sacrifices for the Mayan Civilization and artifacts are still in place as you take this full day hike through caves and caverns as rivers disappear underground and stalagmites offer otherworldly illusions beneath the surface of the earth.
