Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

We found this property when we were searching places to stay in Belize. We ended up booking our vacation back in NOV 2024 for this travel February 14-26. We couldn’t have been happier! Great intimate place to stay. We would highly recommend! - bthrush2023 - 2/01/2025 

My daughter ( Cassidy Woods)and I just returned from Hopkins Village staying 7 nights at Beaches and Dreams. It was all things amazing. The entire staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The transfers to/from Dangriga were flawless and every one of our excursions were amazing. Our drivers and guides were so knowledgeable, fun and friendly. The food, drinks and wait staff were 10/10 professional and friendly. I have never had such a completely flawless resort experience. We were called by name from day one. We truly got the real Belizean experience. The staff in the office and the restaurant were very helpful and extremely friendly. The beach cabana I stayed in was large, comfortable, and had a great view of the beach and ocean. The restaurant offered a good selection of foods, an open view of the ocean and beach, and excellent service. The resort was within walking distance of four very good restaurants, and the free access to bicycles to the village was an added bonus. All in all, it was an excellent choice for those who are active, appreciate good food and scenery and love adventure tours. - DBS - 2/01/2025 

Beaches and Dreams is truly something special. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem.

Every excursion was incredible. The snorkeling was crystal-clear and unforgettable, and the Mayan ruins paired with cave tubing was so much fun, and the waterfall repel and zip line was hands-down one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I even caught a Barracuda while fishing and the chef cooked it fried and grilled!

The beach itself is stunning—peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what you imagine when you picture Belize. I stayed in a beachfront cabana, which was amazing. Waking up to the ocean steps from your door never gets old.

And the food—wow. The chef is absolutely phenomenal. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, the nightly specials—every single meal was outstanding. It felt like a culinary experience, not just resort food.

What truly sets Beaches and Dreams apart, though, is the hospitality. It’s beyond awesome. Everyone introduces themselves, learns your name, and genuinely cares about your experience. It’s elegant and classy, and feels like family. You don’t feel like a guest—you feel like you belong.

People like Kmike, King, Moses, Floyd, Keith, Darlene, Oz, Justin (best bartender!), and so many others made this stay unforgettable. By the end, it felt like I’d been coming here for years.

And Belize is an amazing place. It’s beautiful and the people/culture is unlike any other place I have visited. I have vacationed all over the world, and there is something truly unique and special about this place. I can’t describe it - you just have to visit.

We had a great time!!! We stayed down the beach at their sister resort, Parrot Cove, as they were booked but did our meals and tours and other activities at Beaches. People are amazing and they were helpful from the first email I sent. Booking answered all questions and were quick to respond. We really got to know the staff. Ben the bartender, Amanda, Darnell, Victor, Keith just a few of the many who were truly great. We had a really good cake for my daughter's 21st bday and the staff made it fun and a time to remember!!! My niece has already been talking about wanting to go back. - tracy7962 - 1/01/2025 

First family trip outside of the USA and we had a rough first day. Melanie, in the front office, arranged a trip to a clinic for our son who smashed his face on the ocean from flipping off the big dock of another resort. Dr. Valentine took great care of us. Restaurant staff were extremely accommodating, supportive and attentive to us while we were so out of sorts.

The menu is small but EVERYTHING is delicious and fresh. Definitely try the Family Lunch if available. We already miss our breakfasts and we’re sad to only have one day with the Sea Bar. Best Pizza and Kebobs!

Our drivers, our tour guides, the office staff and Barracuda gang went above and beyond for every task and request. Ruger, the 19-yr old resort dog, was a bit temperamental but always happy, and he was my one son’s favorite resort member. The local boys were my other son’s favorite people. They hung out every day.

Cabana rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable. We stayed in Scarlett McCaw and our boys in Garden Haven. Two separate rooms/entrances in one cabana. Perfect for our family. Water pressure and toilets are slower here. And that was ok once we adjusted our attitudes.

We were hardly ever in the rooms because we were busy with our adventures and being outside. Everything being arranged and scheduled for us made this experience so amazing that we are already planning our next trip.

Snorkeling, Jungle Horse, Xunatunich, Cave Tubing, Monkey River and Zip Lining at Angel Falls. We saw sharks, schools of fish, beautiful coral, monkeys, crocodiles, bats, toucans, pelicans, ruins that are thousands of years old, and the cleanest water around. We learned so much about Hopkins, Belizeans, culture and history . All of our drivers and guides were passionate.

Weather had canceled an adventure so when we begged for some magic from Melanie and Lauren. Not only did they rearrange our last two days for us but they sent us to a more extreme zip lining company snd I’m so grateful because it was the highlight for all of us. Definitely request Angel Falls if you are the adrenaline seeker. I’m not. I survived. I get motion sick and don’t like heights but Frisco and Jose made me feel so safe and comfortable that I would do it again.

We did not need as much cash as we brought. Restaurant gratuity can be added to the room. We tipped our drivers and guides in cash. Souvenirs in cash are a little cheaper but most places take credit cards.

There are shops in Dangriga Airport. You can buy sunscreen and bug spray there. We brought 4 sunscreen and 2 bug sprays. Needed extra bug spray; we had sun protective clothing and I had a neck fan.

Rent the golf cart. Go into Hopkins. It felt like the safest place on the planet. If you want other snacks, go to the grocery store. I know it might seem different to eat at only certain times when you’re on vacation but it was plenty and perfect (except your arrival travel day if you were like us - we were a hot mess that first day, and they loved on us like family).

ImmBest trip ever. Started with my fantastic pilot . I believe his name was Brian. Expert and so friendly . Safe take off and smooth landing yo Uopkins landing. Greeted byMelainie the office manager. The front desk Personel was top flight.
Let me not leave out my wonderful driver , Oz. So personable and knowledgeable about the layout of the village and possible village excursions. He was also my driver to the incredible waterfall hike. A must. Chsllengingvhutbohvso geautiful and worth the hike
Which brings me to Gicyor, the driver and tour guide tor the Mayanyour of pyramids and digs. He was awesome. His personality was so much fun. The tour was definitely enhanced by his commentary. We went to the “blue hole for a swim and a wonderful restaurant
There was a mix up with my lunch order and he went above and beyond to ensure that I had a delectable vegetarian lunch to my satisfaction
The food was beyond cesar, Milky, and Hirdman delivered frat gocktaiks Hrlican and Barrel one rum. Every meal was delectable i. Particularly the lobster tail and ribs. Bird man made sure I tasted a local fruit Cranoo. Delectable. Also a featured cocktail along with tamarind. The goconlicoband the coconut Kim are a must and the Jawuarbjuice.I am young back . I did not have enough time

Beaches and dreams was AMAZING! Every staff person was extremely kind and helpful, the food was amazing and the rooms were very comfortable. They were flexible and did a great job helping plan our week. One of us got sick and the staff made it a point to go out of their way to help in any way that they could. Beaches and dreams is small which made it feel like a small family and we knew the staff as well as they knew us by name! - Danielle - 2/01/2025
