Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

I do not have one negative word about Beaches and Dreams. I love the small quaintness of the resort but has all the amenities and then some that you could need. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. Our room was spotless, and the mattress was comfortable. The beachfront was amazing and so close to the rooms. The food was fabulous. I ate fresh seafood for lunch and dinner every single day and it was prepared different each time and equally as delicious. They have plenty of other options too, I just prefer seafood. All the excursions we did were wonderful. I liked the fact that the boat for some of the tours is on site. The staff is better than any I've experienced. I don't want to leave anyone out: Miss P, Amanda, Ben, Birdman, Armando, Victor, Savannah, Floyd, Kamike, Floyd and Keith. This is not counting all the people who were behind the scenes. This place was special! It was my kids and husbands first international trip and it couldn’t have been better. First off the people at this resort will exceed your expectations. They smile, they don’t complain, their willingness to help, they share their culture, they are fun and even smile for the camera. They are so organized and keep everything running smoothly. The rooms are great! A wide variety of activities to do and the guides are so amazing! We loved every minute, loved Hopkins, loved the people. Mike and I are ready to go back. It's as advertised. A change of pace. The restaurant is very, very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most of our interactions were with Victor and Keith on tours, and Milky and Ben in the restaurant. Miss P was cool too. For the week we were there (last week) we felt like the staff was part of our lives. It must be a talent they have to get that connected to people week in and week out. The ebb and flow of people coming and going. Must be a blur. The resort is your base for tours and adventures. The village of Hopkins is a brief diversion. Rent a golf cart and you can cover Hopkins in two hours. Highly regard this resort, just know what it is you want to do and have a plan. If you just want to sit around and look at the ocean that's great too. Just don't tell you're bored later. Have a plan for activities and go see Belize! - Walt - 1/01/2025

From the top notch food, the personable staff, great communication the guides on the excursions we chose and meeting one of the owners. We visited with a group of friends and family to celebrate my 50th. Beaches and Dreams has exceeded our expectations.

We are a group of mixed ages and abilities. The resort easily accommodates this variety. The relaxation opportunities are wonderful from lounging to massages to floating in the pool. The opportunities for the more adventurous range from caving to hiking and are breathtaking. The tour guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Now let’s talk about the staff — or should I say “family” — who work at beaches and dreams. They are wonderful and might even be the best part of the trip. The people are genuine and happy. They are so welcoming and we just felt close to them. They know all of our names and even the bartender knows our itinerary.

I cannot say enough about the employees but an extra special shout out to Ms. P and Ben. Ms P is WONDERFUL. Aside from being a fantastic waitress, she is obviously a WONDERFUL human. She chatted with us in a manner that was genuine and real. I absolutely love her and hope to see her again. Ben is more reserved but his smile lights up the bar. He’s a great bartender and took care of all our special requests. He worked extremely hard while we were visiting and had a smile on his face.

I’m getting long winded so some other helpful details: beds good pillows and towels. Plenty of water in the rooms, small refrigerator, ice outside rooms, nice seating area, great solitary places to relax and great group places to relax.

Highly recommend Beaches and Dreams. This was our first trip to Belize, the resort staff was very friendly, bartenders at the Barracuda were outstanding. We had nanny care for one day and my son loved her. We all felt safe here, people are honest and trustworthy, this includes the local people we encountered.
