Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

Our week at Beaches and Dreams will live as one of the most memorable vacations we've had. I would not hesitate to book this resort again. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and seemed always to be working hard at making sure guests are getting everything they need and having a great time. The resort itself is very small, so we ran into many of the same people daily which we thought was very nice. Even when we took a golf cart into the village we found the people to be very friendly. I would absolutely suggest booking the food and drink package, we're so glad we did as the meals were so delicious and with the different nightly specials there were plenty of choices. There are bicycles, kayaks, and paddle boards available to borrow, golf carts available to rent, and you can arrange shuttles; all making it really easy to get around. We also booked several tours with the resort, and had a great time at every one. We are beach walkers, and were really happy to find out that Hopkins keeps its sand and water open to everyone so we were able to walk the beach as far as we wanted. We have been to many places over the years but I don't think any other destination tops the level of service, friendliness, and food we found at B&D. We had an amazing stay at Beaches and Dreams for our honeymoon!

The entire staff was incredible. The front desk/office was welcoming and friendly and were helpful with whatever we needed.

The restaurant staff (Miss P, Ben, Amanda) made our stay very special. They were personable and took moments during their food service to connect with us as people. The stay would not have been the same without them!

The tour staff (Oz, Manuel, Keith) had an absurd amount of knowledge about Belize and its history. We could listen to them talk about these excursions and their experiences for days!

Overall, the Beaches and Dreams experience was unforgettable and we will most certainly be coming back!

Highly recommend, particularly for groups. We had six families, 21 people, and Beaches and Dreams staff worked with us to coordinate a group trip with different packages to meet the needs of each family. The resort itself is the perfect size for such a trip. Our teenagers (and several of the adults) could play volleyball any time they wanted. There was never a battle for pool chairs or space. The paddle boards, bikes, and golf carts were readily available most of the time.

But the best thing about Beaches and Dreams is, by far, the people. Every one of them is friendly, enthusiastic, and so good at what they do. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing, with a variety of delicious cocktails (included in the drink package) and even got creative and a few new ones to hit the spot with our party. The restaurant, Barracuda, was fantastic. They managed our group of 21 perfectly, and the food was delicious every time. Between the regular menu and specials, I had something different every time and still left without trying everything I wanted to. The tour guides and drivers for the excursions are so knowledgeable about the area and happy to share that information. The people of Hopkins are friendly and we felt safe and welcomed at all times.

Amazing experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful facilities. Everything was perfect. Great communication before the trip, and all the assistance we needed during the trip. There's always opportunity for difficulty and stress when arriving in a foreign country and navigating around. From the moment we walked out of the airport (Victor was waiting with an air conditioned van) to the moment we left, Beaches and Dreams helped us create a wonderful Belize experience. We also had a lot of free time to explore on our own, and with the free bikes from B&D, we explored the beautiful village of Hopkins and spent time with the locals. - Nicholas - 7/27/2023 

I had an incredible stay at Beaches and Dreams! The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, every interaction felt personal and kind. What really stood out was how much the locals love to share their history, culture, and knowledge of the surrounding wildlife. It made the whole experience feel so much more connected and meaningful.

The resort itself is beautifully set right on the beach, surrounded by coconut trees, with the sound of the waves as a constant backdrop. It’s about a mile from the village, which makes it feel peaceful and tucked away, but with golf carts and bicycles available to rent, getting into town is easy and fun.

The amenities are thoughtful and well-maintained,you can tell a lot of care goes into making guests feel comfortable. I’d absolutely recommend Beaches and Dreams to anyone looking for a mix of relaxation, beauty, and immersion in local culture. - Tina - 5/18/2025 

We had the best week at Beaches and Dreams. We actually stayed at the sister hotel Parrot Cove Lodge but were part of the inclusive package at Beaches and Dreams. All of our check in, tours, and included meals were at Beaches and Dreams and we had full use of their amenities. It has been said many times in these reviews, but I first need to mention the wonderful staff at Beaches and Dreams. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were part of the family. Thanks to everyone that made my family and I feel so welcome. From the first emails with Darnell and Laren I knew this was the place for us. The front office staff, Ben at the bar, Amanda in the restaurant, Oz/Victor/Keith on the driving and land tours, and Kimike/Floyd/Anthony on the marine tours were all so knowledgeable and kind to our family.
We had an action packed week which is just what we wanted, but did enjoy 2 days of free time. On our free days we relaxed on the beach, enjoyed the small but clean pools, played beach volleyball, and rode the free bikes into the town. The town of Hopkins has much to offer and we enjoyed our time visiting shops and restaurants ( Nice Cream, and J&J cool spot), and even playing mini golf. For adventures we did a waterfall hike, ziplining, barrier reef snorkel, barrier reef fishing, Mayan ruins tour, and cave tubing. We loved being able to experience Belize and to learn about the history of the country and the people. The area and hotel are very chill and we enjoyed walking the beach and the dock after dinner each night. My family can not wait to come back. Thanks again Beaches and Dreams. - jem19 - 2/01/2025
