Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

We had a great time!!! We stayed down the beach at their sister resort, Parrot Cove, as they were booked but did our meals and tours and other activities at Beaches. People are amazing and they were helpful from the first email I sent. Booking answered all questions and were quick to respond. We really got to know the staff. Ben the bartender, Amanda, Darnell, Victor, Keith just a few of the many who were truly great. We had a really good cake for my daughter's 21st bday and the staff made it fun and a time to remember!!! My niece has already been talking about wanting to go back. - tracy7962 - 1/01/2025 

What a wonderful resort. They make you feel so special, call you by name, have the friendliest staff I've even encountered. They go out of their way to make your stay amazing. excursions were great, tour guides, and driver's, Oz , Manuel, and Victor were so knowledgeable and fun. Captain Terri on the Monkey River tour fantastic, The whole snorkling crew really went out of theur way to shiw you fish and wildlife .Can't say enough about Ben at the bar, Amanda in the restaurant , Milky in the restaurant and Armando in the restaurant. First family trip outside of the USA and we had a rough first day. Melanie, in the front office, arranged a trip to a clinic for our son who smashed his face on the ocean from flipping off the big dock of another resort. Dr. Valentine took great care of us. Restaurant staff were extremely accommodating, supportive and attentive to us while we were so out of sorts.

The menu is small but EVERYTHING is delicious and fresh. Definitely try the Family Lunch if available. We already miss our breakfasts and we’re sad to only have one day with the Sea Bar. Best Pizza and Kebobs!

Our drivers, our tour guides, the office staff and Barracuda gang went above and beyond for every task and request. Ruger, the 19-yr old resort dog, was a bit temperamental but always happy, and he was my one son’s favorite resort member. The local boys were my other son’s favorite people. They hung out every day.

Cabana rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable. We stayed in Scarlett McCaw and our boys in Garden Haven. Two separate rooms/entrances in one cabana. Perfect for our family. Water pressure and toilets are slower here. And that was ok once we adjusted our attitudes.

We were hardly ever in the rooms because we were busy with our adventures and being outside. Everything being arranged and scheduled for us made this experience so amazing that we are already planning our next trip.

Snorkeling, Jungle Horse, Xunatunich, Cave Tubing, Monkey River and Zip Lining at Angel Falls. We saw sharks, schools of fish, beautiful coral, monkeys, crocodiles, bats, toucans, pelicans, ruins that are thousands of years old, and the cleanest water around. We learned so much about Hopkins, Belizeans, culture and history . All of our drivers and guides were passionate.

Weather had canceled an adventure so when we begged for some magic from Melanie and Lauren. Not only did they rearrange our last two days for us but they sent us to a more extreme zip lining company snd I’m so grateful because it was the highlight for all of us. Definitely request Angel Falls if you are the adrenaline seeker. I’m not. I survived. I get motion sick and don’t like heights but Frisco and Jose made me feel so safe and comfortable that I would do it again.

We did not need as much cash as we brought. Restaurant gratuity can be added to the room. We tipped our drivers and guides in cash. Souvenirs in cash are a little cheaper but most places take credit cards.

There are shops in Dangriga Airport. You can buy sunscreen and bug spray there. We brought 4 sunscreen and 2 bug sprays. Needed extra bug spray; we had sun protective clothing and I had a neck fan.

Rent the golf cart. Go into Hopkins. It felt like the safest place on the planet. If you want other snacks, go to the grocery store. I know it might seem different to eat at only certain times when you’re on vacation but it was plenty and perfect (except your arrival travel day if you were like us - we were a hot mess that first day, and they loved on us like family).

Quaint and very relaxing. This is by far the most friendly staff We have ever delt with. Catering to any needs you might have. The resort is small and family owned. Super chill , yet they planned every detail with activities and excursions for us. We didn't have to do a thing when we got there ,other than show up on time. We actually stayed at the sister hotel parrot cove but the whole experience was very nice. The food at the Barracuda restaurant was amazing and the staff was top notch!!! A real hidden gem in my opinion. With that being said Chef Robs restaurant at parrot cove was a let down for us!! - Caleb - 2/01/2025 

Amazing experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful facilities. Everything was perfect. Great communication before the trip, and all the assistance we needed during the trip. There's always opportunity for difficulty and stress when arriving in a foreign country and navigating around. From the moment we walked out of the airport (Victor was waiting with an air conditioned van) to the moment we left, Beaches and Dreams helped us create a wonderful Belize experience. We also had a lot of free time to explore on our own, and with the free bikes from B&D, we explored the beautiful village of Hopkins and spent time with the locals. - Nicholas - 7/27/2023 

My daughter ( Cassidy Woods)and I just returned from Hopkins Village staying 7 nights at Beaches and Dreams. It was all things amazing. The entire staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The transfers to/from Dangriga were flawless and every one of our excursions were amazing. Our drivers and guides were so knowledgeable, fun and friendly. The food, drinks and wait staff were 10/10 professional and friendly. I have never had such a completely flawless resort experience. We were called by name from day one. We truly got the real Belizean experience. Special shout out to the entire staff…these are the names that managed to make it back to ❄️Minnesota❄️with me: Oswood, Amanda, Keith, Kelsey, Justin, Kmike, Victor. Thank you all! From information gathering and booking, to during our stay... can't say enough good things!
The staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful. Sadly we visited at the start of rainy season, so didn't get to enjoy their beach. BUT, the stay, food, and excursions have all been great!
