Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

Absolutely the most relaxing vacation we have taken. 2 couples, brother/sister and spouse’s. We stayed in the cabana rooms. Spacious room with wonderful location to beach, pool and restaurant, beds are comfortable and the a/c and fans kept the room perfect for us. Loved having the fridge and water bottle in the room. Loved the private patio.

Restaurant and bar, lots of food to eat everyday, we had to cut back drastically as there was so much. Enough of a variety for a weeks stay. Loved the fresh made everything. Loved the staff who got to know us pretty quickly. Shout out to Ben, Amanda, Kelsey. Mrs. P. And Doreen. All were great.

Loved that we choose our excursions ahead of time and had our days planned out. We did Bioluminescence tour, snorkeling, ruin and cave tubing, ATV, and monkey river tours. Great tour guides, KMiike was wonderful in the water tours.

We felt spoiled by all staff. We loved the small all inclusive feel over a Larger resort. Would highly recommend the resort and Hopkins village.

Read the information posted when making a reservation, they are very upfront with what is offered, available and costs.

Notes = they can’t control the weather or the sand bugs. But they do offer suggestions for both, so there are no surprise.

Use a golf cart to visit the village, a small town close by.

Our week at Beaches and Dreams will live as one of the most memorable vacations we've had. I would not hesitate to book this resort again. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and seemed always to be working hard at making sure guests are getting everything they need and having a great time. The resort itself is very small, so we ran into many of the same people daily which we thought was very nice. Even when we took a golf cart into the village we found the people to be very friendly. I would absolutely suggest booking the food and drink package, we're so glad we did as the meals were so delicious and with the different nightly specials there were plenty of choices. There are bicycles, kayaks, and paddle boards available to borrow, golf carts available to rent, and you can arrange shuttles; all making it really easy to get around. We also booked several tours with the resort, and had a great time at every one. We are beach walkers, and were really happy to find out that Hopkins keeps its sand and water open to everyone so we were able to walk the beach as far as we wanted. We have been to many places over the years but I don't think any other destination tops the level of service, friendliness, and food we found at B&D. Beaches and Dreams was the perfect place for our family to stay while visiting Hopkins Village in Belize. We are a family of four with a 9 year old and an almost 3yr old. The staff was amazing. The sales/lobby staff including Darnel were great at communicating and planning excursions that elevated our trip while still giving us downtime to really enjoy our stay. We stayed in the "Treehouse " room which was a great space for a young family. The ability to be close to Hopkins yet have space and a quiet homebase for us was a must and this was the perfect location for just that. The resort staff was willing to do anything they could to assist us. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Having the Baracuta restraunt right there was also a great addition. The wait staff at the Baracuta made my family feel welcome at each meal and the food was always excellent. Special shout out to Amanda and Kelsy who were both so friendly that by the end both my kids wanted to make sure to say goodbye and even got hugs. We took advantage of several tours during our stay as well. The tour guides were all knowledgeable and welcoming. Manuel who took us to the Mayan ruins and the spice farm was the perfect guy for the job, Victor who took us bird watching was excellent and his love for birds was obvious and contagious. Captain Floyd and his team who took us snorkeling were friendly and knowledgeable, also patient with us bringing along a 3 year old who was obviously not going to be the best at snorkeling. And Oz who took drove us to our Monkey River tour was friendly and informative along our drive. An all around amazing experience. Couldn't have asked for a better staff from Resort to restaurant to tours everyone was amazing. Definitely recommend if staying in Hopkins Village. - Casey - 3/13/2025 

Beaches and dreams was AMAZING! Every staff person was extremely kind and helpful, the food was amazing and the rooms were very comfortable. They were flexible and did a great job helping plan our week. One of us got sick and the staff made it a point to go out of their way to help in any way that they could. We had an amazing stay at Beaches and Dreams for our honeymoon!

The entire staff was incredible. The front desk/office was welcoming and friendly and were helpful with whatever we needed.

The restaurant staff (Miss P, Ben, Amanda) made our stay very special. They were personable and took moments during their food service to connect with us as people. The stay would not have been the same without them!

The tour staff (Oz, Manuel, Keith) had an absurd amount of knowledge about Belize and its history. We could listen to them talk about these excursions and their experiences for days!

Overall, the Beaches and Dreams experience was unforgettable and we will most certainly be coming back!

Highly recommend, particularly for groups. We had six families, 21 people, and Beaches and Dreams staff worked with us to coordinate a group trip with different packages to meet the needs of each family. The resort itself is the perfect size for such a trip. Our teenagers (and several of the adults) could play volleyball any time they wanted. There was never a battle for pool chairs or space. The paddle boards, bikes, and golf carts were readily available most of the time.

But the best thing about Beaches and Dreams is, by far, the people. Every one of them is friendly, enthusiastic, and so good at what they do. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing, with a variety of delicious cocktails (included in the drink package) and even got creative and a few new ones to hit the spot with our party. The restaurant, Barracuda, was fantastic. They managed our group of 21 perfectly, and the food was delicious every time. Between the regular menu and specials, I had something different every time and still left without trying everything I wanted to. The tour guides and drivers for the excursions are so knowledgeable about the area and happy to share that information. The people of Hopkins are friendly and we felt safe and welcomed at all times.

We stayed in a bungalow on the beach and it was fabulous! The Baracuda restaurant was right there and the food was amazing. All of our excursions were planned ahead of time, so all we had to do was show and go. Oz was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of info on our excursions. Best trip ever!! Great bartender Ben aka “sexy guy, Justin and Darnell were so helpful with any questions we had, Pauline in the restaurant was the best! K Mike took us snorkeling and it was awesome! We would love to come back to this quaint boutique resort again. It is so much better than the large , busy resorts you find in the touristy areas. - Favor - 3/04/2025
