Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

It's as advertised. A change of pace. The restaurant is very, very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most of our interactions were with Victor and Keith on tours, and Milky and Ben in the restaurant. Miss P was cool too. For the week we were there (last week) we felt like the staff was part of our lives. It must be a talent they have to get that connected to people week in and week out. The ebb and flow of people coming and going. Must be a blur. The resort is your base for tours and adventures. The village of Hopkins is a brief diversion. Rent a golf cart and you can cover Hopkins in two hours. Highly regard this resort, just know what it is you want to do and have a plan. If you just want to sit around and look at the ocean that's great too. Just don't tell you're bored later. Have a plan for activities and go see Belize! - Walt - 1/01/2025 

This resort is absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly and accomodating, the scenery is lovely. We loved our stay there. The Barracuda Bar attached was amazing. Every dish served was better than the last by friendly servers such as Amanda and Milky and the bartender Ben matched with incredible drinks. Our tour guide for some of our excursions, Oz was incredibly knowledgeable and shared much of the history and culture of the community. All around 10 stars, best vacation! - Tiffany - 7/20/2024 

This is the best family vacation we’ve done out of 7 years!! The staff is so nice and friendly. The village of Hopkins was very safe and wonderful people. We did all-inclusive and it was the best! 4 course meals every night!! The ocean is so warm and calm. The excursions were really fun. We can’t wait to come back and try more.
Our legs are all bitten up from the no-seeums. So next time I would bring coconut oil. I read that the oil will block their bite. - Sarah - 3/21/2025 

The staff in the office and the restaurant were very helpful and extremely friendly. The beach cabana I stayed in was large, comfortable, and had a great view of the beach and ocean. The restaurant offered a good selection of foods, an open view of the ocean and beach, and excellent service. The resort was within walking distance of four very good restaurants, and the free access to bicycles to the village was an added bonus. All in all, it was an excellent choice for those who are active, appreciate good food and scenery and love adventure tours. - DBS - 2/01/2025 

Highly recommend, particularly for groups. We had six families, 21 people, and Beaches and Dreams staff worked with us to coordinate a group trip with different packages to meet the needs of each family. The resort itself is the perfect size for such a trip. Our teenagers (and several of the adults) could play volleyball any time they wanted. There was never a battle for pool chairs or space. The paddle boards, bikes, and golf carts were readily available most of the time.

But the best thing about Beaches and Dreams is, by far, the people. Every one of them is friendly, enthusiastic, and so good at what they do. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing, with a variety of delicious cocktails (included in the drink package) and even got creative and a few new ones to hit the spot with our party. The restaurant, Barracuda, was fantastic. They managed our group of 21 perfectly, and the food was delicious every time. Between the regular menu and specials, I had something different every time and still left without trying everything I wanted to. The tour guides and drivers for the excursions are so knowledgeable about the area and happy to share that information. The people of Hopkins are friendly and we felt safe and welcomed at all times.

What a wonderful resort. They make you feel so special, call you by name, have the friendliest staff I've even encountered. They go out of their way to make your stay amazing. excursions were great, tour guides, and driver's, Oz , Manuel, and Victor were so knowledgeable and fun. Captain Terri on the Monkey River tour fantastic, The whole snorkling crew really went out of theur way to shiw you fish and wildlife .Can't say enough about Ben at the bar, Amanda in the restaurant , Milky in the restaurant and Armando in the restaurant. We celebrate our 25th anniversary there and it was a dream come true! From the easy booking to the amazing communication and absolutely stunning atmosphere, we would love to come back! The staff are second to none and you really feel like they want to have the best experience! They each remembered our name, our food preferences and even where we like to sit in the restaurant. Quaint and very relaxing. This is by far the most friendly staff We have ever delt with. Catering to any needs you might have. The resort is small and family owned. Super chill , yet they planned every detail with activities and excursions for us. We didn't have to do a thing when we got there ,other than show up on time.
