Beaches & Dreams

All of the staff is amazing! Front desk, drivers, cleaning crew, servers…they all make you feel like part of the family! For starters, the village of Hopkins in Belize was an incredibly kind and low-key community. It was safe and full of things to do, as well as great traditional food to try out. The staff at Beaches and Dreams was amazing. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful and personable. Being able to customize adventure tours with beaches and dreams was also a huge highlight for us. It’s a smaller resort, which made our beach area much more peaceful and private, in my opinion. The staff all knew us by name. The drinks were great, and the food at their restaurant was some of the best food we had in Belize. I would definitely return to Hopkins and stay again at Beaches and Dreams. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic (Armand and Amanda were so pleasant!) Beaches and Dreams arranged several excursions lead by guides from the the area (K'Mike on the water and Oz on the land trips!) It was our first visit to Belize, and Hopkins was a great central point for us to go on adventures on the water, and into the jungles. We will be back! read less - Mike

We chose Beaches and Dreams as our destination for our honeymoon. The minute we hopped into our van with our driver, Oz, to the resort we knew our week was going to be paradise (we missed our scheduled jungle plane and Oz waited over an hour for us to arrive, still happy and up neat as ever). We arrived at Beaches and Dreams, greeted with warm hellos and an ice cold rum punch. Our expectations were already exceeded. We had no bad meal, the food was outstanding, as was every single employee through the resort. We roomed in one of the hotel rooms and it was perfect - beautiful views and a spacious room (with AC). We mixed our week with 3 excursions and 3 rest days perfectly. We felt like family to the resort and we can’t wait to return! As long as Cesar is mixing drinks you won’t leave thirsty. Let me not leave out my wonderful driver , Oz. So personable and knowledgeable about the layout of the village and possible village excursions. He was also my driver to the incredible waterfall hike. A must. Chsllengingvhutbohvso geautiful and worth the hike
Which brings me to Gicyor, the driver and tour guide tor the Mayanyour of pyramids and digs. He was awesome. His personality was so much fun. The tour was definitely enhanced by his commentary. We went to the “blue hole for a swim and a wonderful restaurant
There was a mix up with my lunch order and he went above and beyond to ensure that I had a delectable vegetarian lunch to my satisfaction
The food was beyond cesar, Milky, and Hirdman delivered frat gocktaiks Hrlican and Barrel one rum. Every meal was delectable i. Particularly the lobster tail and ribs. Bird man made sure I tasted a local fruit Cranoo. Delectable. Also a featured cocktail along with tamarind. The goconlicoband the coconut Kim are a must and the Jawuarbjuice.I am young back . I did not have enough time

Just returned from our Beaches and Dreams vacation. It exceeded our expectations. Even with Hurricane Lisa interrupting the middle of our trip. We only got to complete 3 out of 4 excursions because of the storm, but each one was special. The Garifuna Immersion was so informative. I enjoyed learning... read moreJust returned from our Beaches and Dreams vacation. It exceeded our expectations. Even with Hurricane Lisa interrupting the middle of our trip. We only got to complete 3 out of 4 excursions because of the storm, but each one was special. The Garifuna Immersion was so informative. I enjoyed learning about their culture and cooking a traditional meal. Xunantunich and cave tubing was an exhausting but wonderful day. Oz is a very knowledgeable tour guide. Lunch was offsite in one of the towns. Cave tubing was perfect accompanied tour to cool off. The Hurricane put a pause on our trip, but the staff took great care of us with room service and extra supplies. We enjoyed renting a golf cart to go into Hopkins village after the stay in place was lifted. Last day was the southern ruins and spice farm. Perfect ending excursion for the trip.

Restaurant, Barracuda, was exceptional for our meals and drinks. Dinners were light and fresh, expertly prepared. Love the staff, especially Amanda, Cesar, and miss P. Ben makes great drinks! Our favorite appetizers were the ones we ordered that day. They keep changing as we ordered something different each night to try. Shrimp nachos and family meals are must try at lunch time. Too bad fry jacks weren't offered every breakfast, only because they were so good i wanted more!
