Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

We had a great time staying at Beaches & Dreams. Everyone who works there really cares about providing the best experience possible for their guests. I want to thank Miss Lauren for accommodating my schedule change requests which enabled us to snorkel on a Friday that turned out to be the perfect day for snorkeling. I want to help thank Nadine and Darnell for helping us with our reservations and answering our many questions.

I want to thank Keith especially for being an amazing and patient tour guide. I want to thank the snorkeling guides but I don’t remember their names. They were wonderful. I also want to thank Manuel who took us on two tours and was fun and very knowledgeable. The front desk staff were also wonderful Marissa, Maritchka (so?), Justin, Darnel, and Darnel. Oz, our driver was also really great and we just loved his daughter. The kitchen staff are fantastic as well - especially the chef who always came to check on us Miss P, who was always so sweet and cheerful in the morning and Amanda, who was our photographer for our unforgettable honeymoon dinner. Highly recommend Beaches and Dreams. This was our first trip to Belize, the resort staff was very friendly, bartenders at the Barracuda were outstanding. We had nanny care for one day and my son loved her. We all felt safe here, people are honest and trustworthy, this includes the local people we encountered. Highly recommend, particularly for groups. We had six families, 21 people, and Beaches and Dreams staff worked with us to coordinate a group trip with different packages to meet the needs of each family. The resort itself is the perfect size for such a trip. Our teenagers (and several of the adults) could play volleyball any time they wanted. There was never a battle for pool chairs or space. The paddle boards, bikes, and golf carts were readily available most of the time.

But the best thing about Beaches and Dreams is, by far, the people. Every one of them is friendly, enthusiastic, and so good at what they do. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing, with a variety of delicious cocktails (included in the drink package) and even got creative and a few new ones to hit the spot with our party. The restaurant, Barracuda, was fantastic. They managed our group of 21 perfectly, and the food was delicious every time. Between the regular menu and specials, I had something different every time and still left without trying everything I wanted to. The tour guides and drivers for the excursions are so knowledgeable about the area and happy to share that information. The people of Hopkins are friendly and we felt safe and welcomed at all times.

Beaches and Dreams is truly something special. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem.

Every excursion was incredible. The snorkeling was crystal-clear and unforgettable, and the Mayan ruins paired with cave tubing was so much fun, and the waterfall repel and zip line was hands-down one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I even caught a Barracuda while fishing and the chef cooked it fried and grilled!

The beach itself is stunning—peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what you imagine when you picture Belize. I stayed in a beachfront cabana, which was amazing. Waking up to the ocean steps from your door never gets old.

And the food—wow. The chef is absolutely phenomenal. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, the nightly specials—every single meal was outstanding. It felt like a culinary experience, not just resort food.

What truly sets Beaches and Dreams apart, though, is the hospitality. It’s beyond awesome. Everyone introduces themselves, learns your name, and genuinely cares about your experience. It’s elegant and classy, and feels like family. You don’t feel like a guest—you feel like you belong.

People like Kmike, King, Moses, Floyd, Keith, Darlene, Oz, Justin (best bartender!), and so many others made this stay unforgettable. By the end, it felt like I’d been coming here for years.

And Belize is an amazing place. It’s beautiful and the people/culture is unlike any other place I have visited. I have vacationed all over the world, and there is something truly unique and special about this place. I can’t describe it - you just have to visit.

This is the best family vacation we’ve done out of 7 years!! The staff is so nice and friendly. The village of Hopkins was very safe and wonderful people. We did all-inclusive and it was the best! 4 course meals every night!! The ocean is so warm and calm. The excursions were really fun. We can’t wait to come back and try more.
Our legs are all bitten up from the no-seeums. So next time I would bring coconut oil. I read that the oil will block their bite. - Sarah - 3/21/2025
