Beaches & Dreams and Cabana Village

Highly recommend, particularly for groups. We had six families, 21 people, and Beaches and Dreams staff worked with us to coordinate a group trip with different packages to meet the needs of each family. The resort itself is the perfect size for such a trip. Our teenagers (and several of the adults) could play volleyball any time they wanted. There was never a battle for pool chairs or space. The paddle boards, bikes, and golf carts were readily available most of the time.

But the best thing about Beaches and Dreams is, by far, the people. Every one of them is friendly, enthusiastic, and so good at what they do. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing, with a variety of delicious cocktails (included in the drink package) and even got creative and a few new ones to hit the spot with our party. The restaurant, Barracuda, was fantastic. They managed our group of 21 perfectly, and the food was delicious every time. Between the regular menu and specials, I had something different every time and still left without trying everything I wanted to. The tour guides and drivers for the excursions are so knowledgeable about the area and happy to share that information. The people of Hopkins are friendly and we felt safe and welcomed at all times.

Beaches and dreams was AMAZING! Every staff person was extremely kind and helpful, the food was amazing and the rooms were very comfortable. They were flexible and did a great job helping plan our week. One of us got sick and the staff made it a point to go out of their way to help in any way that they could. I had an incredible stay at Beaches and Dreams! The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, every interaction felt personal and kind. What really stood out was how much the locals love to share their history, culture, and knowledge of the surrounding wildlife. It made the whole experience feel so much more connected and meaningful.

The resort itself is beautifully set right on the beach, surrounded by coconut trees, with the sound of the waves as a constant backdrop. It’s about a mile from the village, which makes it feel peaceful and tucked away, but with golf carts and bicycles available to rent, getting into town is easy and fun.

The amenities are thoughtful and well-maintained,you can tell a lot of care goes into making guests feel comfortable. I’d absolutely recommend Beaches and Dreams to anyone looking for a mix of relaxation, beauty, and immersion in local culture. - Tina - 5/18/2025 

We actually stayed at the sister hotel parrot cove but the whole experience was very nice. The food at the Barracuda restaurant was amazing and the staff was top notch!!! A real hidden gem in my opinion. With that being said Chef Robs restaurant at parrot cove was a let down for us!! - Caleb - 2/01/2025 

Our week at Beaches and Dreams will live as one of the most memorable vacations we've had. I would not hesitate to book this resort again. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and seemed always to be working hard at making sure guests are getting everything they need and having a great time. The resort itself is very small, so we ran into many of the same people daily which we thought was very nice. Even when we took a golf cart into the village we found the people to be very friendly. I would absolutely suggest booking the food and drink package, we're so glad we did as the meals were so delicious and with the different nightly specials there were plenty of choices. There are bicycles, kayaks, and paddle boards available to borrow, golf carts available to rent, and you can arrange shuttles; all making it really easy to get around. We also booked several tours with the resort, and had a great time at every one. We are beach walkers, and were really happy to find out that Hopkins keeps its sand and water open to everyone so we were able to walk the beach as far as we wanted. We have been to many places over the years but I don't think any other destination tops the level of service, friendliness, and food we found at B&D. We had a great time staying at Beaches & Dreams. Everyone who works there really cares about providing the best experience possible for their guests. I want to thank Miss Lauren for accommodating my schedule change requests which enabled us to snorkel on a Friday that turned out to be the perfect day for snorkeling. I want to help thank Nadine and Darnell for helping us with our reservations and answering our many questions.

I want to thank Keith especially for being an amazing and patient tour guide. I want to thank the snorkeling guides but I don’t remember their names. They were wonderful. I also want to thank Manuel who took us on two tours and was fun and very knowledgeable. The front desk staff were also wonderful Marissa, Maritchka (so?), Justin, Darnel, and Darnel. Oz, our driver was also really great and we just loved his daughter. The kitchen staff are fantastic as well - especially the chef who always came to check on us Miss P, who was always so sweet and cheerful in the morning and Amanda, who was our photographer for our unforgettable honeymoon dinner. This was one of the greatest vacations of our life. The paradise location, the absolutely wonderful staff and tour guides, the ease of all meals, the limited number of other vacationers in the area .we would all do it over again!!!!! We did the Mayan Immersion, cave tubing, Great Barrier Reef snorkeling, and the Mayan ruins. - Kelly - 3/25/2025
