We are a group of mixed ages and abilities. The resort easily accommodates this variety. The relaxation opportunities are wonderful from lounging to massages to floating in the pool. The opportunities for the more adventurous range from caving to hiking and are breathtaking. The tour guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.
Now let’s talk about the staff — or should I say “family” — who work at beaches and dreams. They are wonderful and might even be the best part of the trip. The people are genuine and happy. They are so welcoming and we just felt close to them. They know all of our names and even the bartender knows our itinerary.
I cannot say enough about the employees but an extra special shout out to Ms. P and Ben. Ms P is WONDERFUL. Aside from being a fantastic waitress, she is obviously a WONDERFUL human. She chatted with us in a manner that was genuine and real. I absolutely love her and hope to see her again. Ben is more reserved but his smile lights up the bar. He’s a great bartender and took care of all our special requests. He worked extremely hard while we were visiting and had a smile on his face.
I’m getting long winded so some other helpful details: beds good pillows and towels. Plenty of water in the rooms, small refrigerator, ice outside rooms, nice seating area, great solitary places to relax and great group places to relax.
We loved our Beaches and Dreams vacation and highly recommended. read less - Anna

As a former pilot, I loved it.. my wife was hesitant but admitted it was a neat trip and you got to see the area from the air. We arrived on a Monday and left on Saturday morning. If you are expecting a large resort with a spa, gym, etc., this is not your place but if you want a place that is totally relaxing and where the staff makes you feel like old friends who have FINALLY come to visit, then go here. The rooms and views are to die for, food is excellent, pool is the right size for this small resort, it is right on the beach, AND the staff is attentive to your every need. We had a air conditioned room on the third floor - the view was fantastic as was the room. No TV and no phone... just the wonderful sound of the ocean and tropical birds playing outside our door, a very comfortable bed, and the room was nicely appointed. My ONLY beef with the whole trip was that the room had only one mirror (in the batroom) so my wife and I had to sequence getting ready. We were there for 5 nights. So we took several of the excursions. We took the 1/2 day snorkeling trip which was amazing. Our guide was the perfect host... We were there for 5 nights. So we took several of the excursions.
We took the 1/2 day snorkeling trip which was amazing. Our guide was the perfect host making sure we were safe and saw an abundance of fish. We've been to the Great Barrier Reef and I would call this a smaller but still interesting version and a great trip out to and on the reef.
We also did the Mayan Ruins tour. It was hot the day we went but the guide was informative and knew the complete history of the area and the Mayan culture. VERY well prepared to guide the tour. After the ruins, we stopped for a quick lunch at a local bodega - food was very tasty and plenty to eat. We then went cave tubbing which was great since the weather was hot, the cool water was a welcome relief and, again, our guide was well informed and gave us an impressive tour. Then we went to the Blue Hole... interesting but at that point I was tired. Thankfully we did not spend much time there.
Finally, we went birding. I was expecting to go to a bird sanctuary but nope... we just drove out into the country and looked for birds which was a blast!! Our guide would stop and listen and then tell us what birds where in the area and off we would go to find them. We must have seen over 30 species on our tour. Again, a bit warm but we went early in the day and were back at resort before lunch.
The restaurant at the hotel is very good and, with the basic menu a bit sparse, but they vary the specials each day so there is always something interesting to eat. If you like seafood, there will be a seafood special each day. My wife had the special just about every day and raved about them. I am not a big fan of seafood but always found plenty to eat that was delicious. AND the restaurant staff will know you name and what you like and don't like after your first visit. They will greet you by name when you arrive! Again, we felt like the staff treated us as old friends who had come to visit.
This was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. WONDERFUL trip that we throughly enjoyed, It is small resort and it was fully booked for the entire time we were there so book early.
I had read about. the insects - sand flys - but we had a steady breeze the whole time were were there and insects were never a problem. We did cover up during our excursions and brought sunscreen and insect repellent which we were religious about applying so we had no problems at all with the bugs. BUT, there was a couple that had arrived the day before us and the bugs had devoured them. They commented that the bugs has essentially disappeared with the breeze that was blowing.
We had an all inclusive package deal so we had an "allowance" for our meals and all the drinks (local stuff) we wanted. the staff will give you glasses and a bottle of wine or beer to take back to your room if you would like... very nice touch! HINT: Do bring some small bills - $5, $10s, and $20s to tip your guides and other staff members. We always felt the guides more than earned a tip and they were very appreciative of the extra cash.
I was worried about the covid restrictions but the hotel provided all the information we needed for entry into Belize and arranged for us to have a COVID test before we left and we had no trouble getting back in the USA.
BTW, we did not venture downtown Hopkins, We had everything we needed at the resort and didn't feel the need to explore after taking the excursions. Some of the people we met ventured downtown for souvenirs and to take in the local cuisine and gave good reports though it is rustic.
Bottom line: GREAT place to visit and GREAT staff!!! We would love to go again. From initial contact to coordinating our stay and excursions to being treated very well by the staff every minute we were there, we were totally impressed. More read less - capnollie

The Beaches and Dreams experience was excellent! Everyone was great. Amanda at the restaurant was great, Keith was very accommodating, and our guide Victor was a superstar (clearly very knowledgeable and fun)! 10/10 recommend Beaches and Dreams, and the excursions: The Garifuna experience, reef snorkeling, and the Maya/cave tubing. - Adventure46706580899

First of all, we felt SO safe here, which is important for everyone during COVID!! If you are thinking of not going because of COVID, do not let it stop you - book your trip here! Beaches and Dreams takes every precaution and we always knew everything was clean, sanitized, and prepared with complete care for our and everyone's safety. It was amazing to actually travel and not feel anxious or the need to be cautious due to the pandemic. We knew everyone around us was negative and no detail was unnoticed or ignored for health/safety matters.
Now - the amazing people!!!! Each and every member of the staff is SO wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and helpful! They felt more like a bunch of new friends than a bunch of strangers. They go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience, however you want to have it. No request is too much and every aspect was seamless for guests, making for a perfect trip in PARADISE! The staff and owners at B&D make everyone feel safe, comfortable, at home, and completely relaxed in their beautiful resort. They are so knowledgeable on the tours and excursions, it felt like we were in the hands of the island masters at all times. Honestly, anyone who doesn't go through Beaches and Dreams for your Belize travel is seriously missing out and making a HUGE mistake. Book now and you will NOT regret it!
Also - this was maybe just our lucky coincidence, but we made lifelong friends of all ages on this trip, and are already getting ready for a reunion vacation here, all together. The entire trip felt like you were staying with family and friends, even though we were among staff and strangers from all over. Truly an amazing experience!!

We wanted to give some extra shout outs as well.
Owner/Jessica- We had a very early excursion one day and had to leave at 4 am. She was nice enough to wake up and have us coffee ready before we left the resort.
Miss P- From the day we got there from the day we left she always had the same smile on her face. She was so kind and welcoming.
Armando- He was always so helpful with everything we needed anything. Made it a point to call us by our names in every conversation.
Birdman- The first time we ordered drinks he knew what we liked. We would sit down and he would be right behind us with drinks we liked. Excellent service!
Keith- Keith got to drive us on a couple of our excursions and one day it was an entire day of waiting on us. He always kept the conversation going. We had a outstanding breakfast with him a couple hours outside the resort when we were departing for Caracol. He would tell us about everything we passed and even pulled out or slowed down so we could take pictures.
Oz- Oz also drove us a couple times and would be so attentive to us and our needs. He would answer any questions. Oz is who drove us to the airport. The kindness of him really made a great last impression of our trip.
There was so many more people and experiences we will cherish from Beaches and Dreams. I now tell everyone I know, If you want the trip of a lifetime go to Belize and stay at beaches and Dreams. 100/100! read less - Jamie - - KentuckyGirl2020

Beaches and Dreams is perfect! The communication from the resort was great! It was easy to book and the owner Ryan and Melanie are quick to respond with any questions you might have. We had a change in our itinerary and they made it happen. All my sister and I had to do was show up at the time we were told and everything was taken care of. We snorkeled, we went out fishing, we went to the ATM, and ziplined. My only complaint is the trip went by so fast! Mike and Floyd took us snorkeling and fishing and we had a ton of laughs! My sister caught her very first fish, ever, and it was a friggin' Barracuda!!! And then she caught a Jack. I did not have much luck with the pole I was using but Mike hooked a fish and then let me reel it in and it ended up being a rare catch of Mutten Snapper! THEN, Floyd cleaned them all and delivered them to the chef in the restaurant and we ate them for dinner. And they were prepared perfectly! The snorkeling was really great too! A group we were with while snorkeling started not to feel very well... so Mike was able to get them to a lil island that they could hang out and then took the rest of us... Wow. Just wow. We so enjoyed each person serving at the Barracuda... Armando, Milky, and Birdman all new our names when we arrived and also kept track of us through out the days. The food was sooo good and the drinks were yummy!
Mike and Floyd were amazing when we snorkeled. And they are the reason we added the fishing excursion on to the next day. That was soooooo dang fun. They made that trip for us!
Oz. I cannot say enough about this guy. From the moment he picked us up from the airport to taking us back 6 days later. He was so fun to talk to. Extremely knowledgeable about, well pretty much everything! He said he was pretty much related to everyone in the area and we tested that out... and sure enough each person we asked was some how related to him 🙂
I am hoping to one day come back with my boys and daughter in law, so they can experience this as well!!!

The drinks were tropical and delicious. The excursions were fun and knowledgeable. But the icing on the cake was most definitely the staff! Everyone there truly cares about their guests and we’re so friendly! We were unfortunate (or very fortunate depending on how you look at it) to have hurricane Lisa make an appearance on the day we were supposed to depart, however, the managers allowed us to stay in our room (free of charge) until the airport reopened for us to leave (an extra two days!).
