- - BrandyBeaches and Dreams is truly something special. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem.
Every excursion was incredible. The snorkeling was crystal-clear and unforgettable, and the Mayan ruins paired with cave tubing was so much fun, and the waterfall repel and zip line was hands-down one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I even caught a Barracuda while fishing and the chef cooked it fried and grilled!
The beach itself is stunning—peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what you imagine when you picture Belize. I stayed in a beachfront cabana, which was amazing. Waking up to the ocean steps from your door never gets old.
And the food—wow. The chef is absolutely phenomenal. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, the nightly specials—every single meal was outstanding. It felt like a culinary experience, not just resort food.
What truly sets Beaches and Dreams apart, though, is the hospitality. It’s beyond awesome. Everyone introduces themselves, learns your name, and genuinely cares about your experience. It’s elegant and classy, and feels like family. You don’t feel like a guest—you feel like you belong.
People like Kmike, King, Moses, Floyd, Keith, Darlene, Oz, Justin (best bartender!), and so many others made this stay unforgettable. By the end, it felt like I’d been coming here for years.
And Belize is an amazing place. It’s beautiful and the people/culture is unlike any other place I have visited. I have vacationed all over the world, and there is something truly unique and special about this place. I can’t describe it - you just have to visit.
If you’re looking for a place that blends beauty, adventure, incredible food, and heart—Beaches and Dreams is it. I can’t wait to go back. 🌴💙 - Brandy - 12/17/2025read moreread less - - KristyThis place was special! It was my kids and husbands first international trip and it couldn’t have been better. First off the people at this resort will exceed your expectations. They smile, they don’t complain, their willingness to help, they share their culture, they are fun and even smile for the camera. They are so organized and keep everything running smoothly. The rooms are great! A wide variety of activities to do and the guides are so amazing! We loved every minute, loved Hopkins, loved the people. Mike and I are ready to go back. Thank you for this special vacation that we will never forget! - Kristy - 12/02/2024read moreread less

Beaches and Dreams was the perfect place for our family to stay while visiting Hopkins Village in Belize. We are a family of four with a 9 year old and an almost 3yr old. The staff was amazing. The sales/lobby staff including Darnel were great at communicating and planning excursions that elevated our trip while still giving us downtime to really enjoy our stay. We stayed in the "Treehouse " room which was a great space for a young family. The ability to be close to Hopkins yet have space and a quiet homebase for us was a must and this was the perfect location for just that. The resort staff was willing to do anything they could to assist us. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Having the Baracuta restraunt right there was also a great addition. The wait staff at the Baracuta made my family feel welcome at each meal and the food was always excellent. Special shout out to Amanda and Kelsy who were both so friendly that by the end both my kids wanted to make sure to say goodbye and even got hugs. We took advantage of several tours during our stay as well. The tour guides were all knowledgeable and welcoming. Manuel who took us to the Mayan ruins and the spice farm was the perfect guy for the job, Victor who took us bird watching was excellent and his love for birds was obvious and contagious. Captain Floyd and his team who took us snorkeling were friendly and knowledgeable, also patient with us bringing along a 3 year old who was obviously not going to be the best at snorkeling. And Oz who took drove us to our Monkey River tour was friendly and informative along our drive. An all around amazing experience. Couldn't have asked for a better staff from Resort to restaurant to tours everyone was amazing. Definitely recommend if staying in Hopkins Village. - Casey - 3/13/2025

We had the best week at Beaches and Dreams. We actually stayed at the sister hotel Parrot Cove Lodge but were part of the inclusive package at Beaches and Dreams. All of our check in, tours, and included meals were at Beaches and Dreams and we had full use of their amenities. It has been said many times in these reviews, but I first need to mention the wonderful staff at Beaches and Dreams. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were part of the family. Thanks to everyone that made my family and I feel so welcome. From the first emails with Darnell and Laren I knew this was the place for us. The front office staff, Ben at the bar, Amanda in the restaurant, Oz/Victor/Keith on the driving and land tours, and Kimike/Floyd/Anthony on the marine tours were all so knowledgeable and kind to our family.
We had an action packed week which is just what we wanted, but did enjoy 2 days of free time. On our free days we relaxed on the beach, enjoyed the small but clean pools, played beach volleyball, and rode the free bikes into the town. The town of Hopkins has much to offer and we enjoyed our time visiting shops and restaurants ( Nice Cream, and J&J cool spot), and even playing mini golf. For adventures we did a waterfall hike, ziplining, barrier reef snorkel, barrier reef fishing, Mayan ruins tour, and cave tubing. We loved being able to experience Belize and to learn about the history of the country and the people. The area and hotel are very chill and we enjoyed walking the beach and the dock after dinner each night. My family can not wait to come back. Thanks again Beaches and Dreams. - jem19 - 2/01/2025read moreread less - - TiffanyThis resort is absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly and accomodating, the scenery is lovely. We loved our stay there. The Barracuda Bar attached was amazing. Every dish served was better than the last by friendly servers such as Amanda and Milky and the bartender Ben matched with incredible drinks. Our tour guide for some of our excursions, Oz was incredibly knowledgeable and shared much of the history and culture of the community. All around 10 stars, best vacation! - Tiffany - 7/20/2024read moreread less

First family trip outside of the USA and we had a rough first day. Melanie, in the front office, arranged a trip to a clinic for our son who smashed his face on the ocean from flipping off the big dock of another resort. Dr. Valentine took great care of us. Restaurant staff were extremely accommodating, supportive and attentive to us while we were so out of sorts.
The menu is small but EVERYTHING is delicious and fresh. Definitely try the Family Lunch if available. We already miss our breakfasts and we’re sad to only have one day with the Sea Bar. Best Pizza and Kebobs!
Our drivers, our tour guides, the office staff and Barracuda gang went above and beyond for every task and request. Ruger, the 19-yr old resort dog, was a bit temperamental but always happy, and he was my one son’s favorite resort member. The local boys were my other son’s favorite people. They hung out every day.
Cabana rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable. We stayed in Scarlett McCaw and our boys in Garden Haven. Two separate rooms/entrances in one cabana. Perfect for our family. Water pressure and toilets are slower here. And that was ok once we adjusted our attitudes.
We were hardly ever in the rooms because we were busy with our adventures and being outside. Everything being arranged and scheduled for us made this experience so amazing that we are already planning our next trip.
Snorkeling, Jungle Horse, Xunatunich, Cave Tubing, Monkey River and Zip Lining at Angel Falls. We saw sharks, schools of fish, beautiful coral, monkeys, crocodiles, bats, toucans, pelicans, ruins that are thousands of years old, and the cleanest water around. We learned so much about Hopkins, Belizeans, culture and history . All of our drivers and guides were passionate.
Weather had canceled an adventure so when we begged for some magic from Melanie and Lauren. Not only did they rearrange our last two days for us but they sent us to a more extreme zip lining company snd I’m so grateful because it was the highlight for all of us. Definitely request Angel Falls if you are the adrenaline seeker. I’m not. I survived. I get motion sick and don’t like heights but Frisco and Jose made me feel so safe and comfortable that I would do it again.
We did not need as much cash as we brought. Restaurant gratuity can be added to the room. We tipped our drivers and guides in cash. Souvenirs in cash are a little cheaper but most places take credit cards.
There are shops in Dangriga Airport. You can buy sunscreen and bug spray there. We brought 4 sunscreen and 2 bug sprays. Needed extra bug spray; we had sun protective clothing and I had a neck fan.
Rent the golf cart. Go into Hopkins. It felt like the safest place on the planet. If you want other snacks, go to the grocery store. I know it might seem different to eat at only certain times when you’re on vacation but it was plenty and perfect (except your arrival travel day if you were like us - we were a hot mess that first day, and they loved on us like family).
I will be back. I see a Ladies trip in my future. - Shehla - 7/26/2023read moreread less - - Walt
It's as advertised. A change of pace. The restaurant is very, very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most of our interactions were with Victor and Keith on tours, and Milky and Ben in the restaurant. Miss P was cool too. For the week we were there (last week) we felt like the staff was part of our lives. It must be a talent they have to get that connected to people week in and week out. The ebb and flow of people coming and going. Must be a blur. The resort is your base for tours and adventures. The village of Hopkins is a brief diversion. Rent a golf cart and you can cover Hopkins in two hours. Highly regard this resort, just know what it is you want to do and have a plan. If you just want to sit around and look at the ocean that's great too. Just don't tell you're bored later. Have a plan for activities and go see Belize! - Walt - 1/01/2025
