Beaches & Dreams

We stayed here this summer with our extended family and rented 6 of the 11 rooms (all four of the cabanas, the treehouse, and one of the hotel rooms). There were 16 of us in all, with a lot of teenagers. The staff was amazing, including one experience that went so far above and beyond expectations that it was almost like a scene out of a movie. My wife lost her wedding and engagement rings on an expedition in Placencia (they fell out of her purse, where she had put them for safe keeping while putting on sunscreen), and we didn't realize it until hours later when we were back at the resort. We assumed all was lost, but Keith (who wasn't even on our expedition) asked about the next day and uncovered the rings, and he and Primrose negotiated their heroic return (we got them back 5 minutes before we had to board the plane in Belize City for the trip back home).

Even without that epic saga and their heroic feats, we loved this resort. The kitchen and bar staff were patient and kind with our large group, the guides were helpful and amazing, and the expeditions included stories we're still telling friends about. The staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful. Sadly we visited at the start of rainy season, so didn't get to enjoy their beach. BUT, the stay, food, and excursions have all been great!

We visited with a group of friends and family to celebrate my 50th. Beaches and Dreams has exceeded our expectations.

We are a group of mixed ages and abilities. The resort easily accommodates this variety. The relaxation opportunities are wonderful from lounging to massages to floating in the pool. The opportunities for the more adventurous range from caving to hiking and are breathtaking. The tour guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Now let’s talk about the staff — or should I say “family” — who work at beaches and dreams. They are wonderful and might even be the best part of the trip. The people are genuine and happy. They are so welcoming and we just felt close to them. They know all of our names and even the bartender knows our itinerary.

I cannot say enough about the employees but an extra special shout out to Ms. P and Ben. Ms P is WONDERFUL. Aside from being a fantastic waitress, she is obviously a WONDERFUL human. She chatted with us in a manner that was genuine and real. I absolutely love her and hope to see her again. Ben is more reserved but his smile lights up the bar. He’s a great bartender and took care of all our special requests. He worked extremely hard while we were visiting and had a smile on his face.

I’m getting long winded so some other helpful details: beds good pillows and towels. Plenty of water in the rooms, small refrigerator, ice outside rooms, nice seating area, great solitary places to relax and great group places to relax.

We spent 8 nights at Beaches and Dreams in February 2025 and it was perfect. The staff are extremely accommodating, even when I changed our tour choices a couple times. The tour guides we had, Victor and Keith for land tours, and Floyd, Mike and Anthony for sea tours were all very knowledgeable and helpful. The grounds are kept immaculate and the beach is raked every morning. I highly recommend this cozy resort. - Navigator750586 - 2/01/2025

Beaches and Dreams was the perfect place for our family to stay while visiting Hopkins Village in Belize. We are a family of four with a 9 year old and an almost 3yr old. The staff was amazing. The sales/lobby staff including Darnel were great at communicating and planning excursions that elevated our trip while still giving us downtime to really enjoy our stay. We stayed in the "Treehouse " room which was a great space for a young family. The ability to be close to Hopkins yet have space and a quiet homebase for us was a must and this was the perfect location for just that. The resort staff was willing to do anything they could to assist us. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Having the Baracuta restraunt right there was also a great addition. The wait staff at the Baracuta made my family feel welcome at each meal and the food was always excellent. Special shout out to Amanda and Kelsy who were both so friendly that by the end both my kids wanted to make sure to say goodbye and even got hugs. We took advantage of several tours during our stay as well. The tour guides were all knowledgeable and welcoming. Manuel who took us to the Mayan ruins and the spice farm was the perfect guy for the job, Victor who took us bird watching was excellent and his love for birds was obvious and contagious. Captain Floyd and his team who took us snorkeling were friendly and knowledgeable, also patient with us bringing along a 3 year old who was obviously not going to be the best at snorkeling. And Oz who took drove us to our Monkey River tour was friendly and informative along our drive. An all around amazing experience. Couldn't have asked for a better staff from Resort to restaurant to tours everyone was amazing. Definitely recommend if staying in Hopkins Village. - Casey - 3/13/2025
