Beaches and Dreams is building a second location, Cabana Village, opening in December, 2025.
We are just 7 weeks out from opening our new location, Cabana Village. Each of our guests at Cabana Village will enjoy the luxury of their own private cabana on the beach, with the same sense of small resort community and personal service that is unique to Beaches and Dreams.
All along, we have been building the cabanas and grounds with an emphasis on design and intuitiveness. I want to take this moment to highlight some of my favorite features, art, and craftsmanship around the property.
Hand Crafted and Distinct Beds for each Cabana
The very first thing I fell in love with at Cabana Village were the bed frames. We decided from the get go that each bed would provide sensible storage, lights and outlets for each guest. I really value a hotel that does not make me compete to use a singular outlet next to the bed to charge my phone. At Cabana Village, you’ll have a dedicated outlet, and reading light. However, the bed frames are not just functional, they are truly beautiful. We partnered with a builder who is not only precise but artistic. Look at the result!
Belizean Art Representing Hopkins And Belize
There are so many wonderful Belizean artists in Belize. I could have shopped at an art shop or gift shop to choose some artwork for our rooms. But I wanted to find an artist (or three) to collaborate with me and create unique pieces for each room. When I met David, I discovered how much I loved the style of paintings he did, with tall trees, blue waters and lively scenes that have you staring at the painting, finding and relishing each little detail. It wasn’t until the second painting that I realized he can take a photograph and create a realistic scene that looks just like Hopkins. I kinda want to keep all of these paintings for my self now.
The Pool is Large and Beautiful and the Center of Cabana Village
It is difficult for me to describe the pool. It is large, it is gorgeous, and once again, it has intuitive design. The layout of Cabana Village is centered around the pool. So it should come as no surprise that there is a walkway over the pool, including trees in the middle of this bridge. The pool will be the social hub of Cabana Village. There will be shaded seating with large daybeds, fitting a couple or family. There is also sun soaked seating on the opposite pool deck. And, for cooling off while taking sun, try the in-pool loungers on the stairs platform. We are finishing development of the pool in these photos, so please use your imagination.
Can you see yourself sleeping in one of these hand crafted beds or sitting poolside on a daybed sipping a refreshing drink? If so, visit our booking page to specify your dates and let us know in the comments field that you want to stay at Cabana Village!
