We’ve been renovating our new location, Cabana Village, since August 2023. We are set to open its doors in December, just 3 months from now. Its time to give you a look inside some of our new rooms.
Trogon is one of our 2 Queen Junior Suites. This room can easily sleep 5 people with a sofa that doubles as a bed. Every room at Cabana Village has its own entrance off a private balcony or deck, as well as A/C, a small refrigerator, a safe and a filtered water dispenser.
If you get a chance to look at more than one room while you are here, you’ll see that each wooden bed frame was constructed with it own unique design. However, one thing all rooms have in common is a dedicated storage area for each person. On the side of each bed you’ll find hanging storage space, side table cubby, a reading light and your own outlets.
Cabana Village Sales Begin September 15, 2025
I am so excited to be getting close to our December opening date. Over the past year, we’ve been holding off on sales for Cabana Village until we could be certain of an opening date, and now we are. We will begin taking reservations September 15, 2025.
The experience of building this new resort has been more harrowing than I’d imagined. I think back to when we first bought Beaches and Dreams in 2017 – we did not have much experience running a resort. And when we bought the Cabana Village property in 2023, we were not seasoned property developers. It can be difficult to build in Belize; dates are not always met, forgotten requirements are revealed late in the game, materials can be difficult to source. But, as I should have known, the high points and the successful moments have come down to one thing – the people. Our contractor has been a true partner in innovation and design, not to mention patience. And when dealing with banks and utilities and bureaucracy, just when you expect to receive a cold shoulder, we’ve run into the nicest people who have really been there for us.
